Persico
CNC Machined Molds
Persico S.p.A., the European leader in mold manufacturing
for the Rotational Molding industry since 1976,
is pleased to introduce a new position in its sales
network. Over the last 8 years, Persico has taken
dramatic steps forward in terms of the technology
they offer to the market, having now reached a ratio
of 65% of their molds manufactured by CNC vs. 35%
by cast aluminum. These steps have increased quality,
reduced manufacturing time and provided many other
benefits. Starting from January 2009, Sergio Zilioli,
the current Sales Manager for Scandinavia, Germany
and Eastern Europe, will be focused on US and Canadian
markets, with the intention of bringing the latest
mold technology for Rotational Molding developed
by Persico to new customers there. He will be participating
in ROTOPLAS 2008 in Chicago, Illinois between 22nd-23rd
October. You are more than welcome to come meet
him at the Persico booth (no. 214) and gain a first-hand
impression of Persico CNC capabilities from the
molds on display.
He will be available for discussions on new projects,
site-visits and technical support. If you already
have a new project or mold you would like quoted,
please send details and Sergio will be happy to
discuss them with you at ROTOPLAS.

PERSICO MAN " ON US Soil - The advantages of
CNC molds
Persico S.p.A. has been making cast aluminium molds
for rotational molding since 1976. In 2001 , in order
to accommodate tighter tolerances, shorter lead times
and provide a higher quality mold they began to develop
their capability to produce machined molds using CNC
equipment. The success of this endeavour has led to
the growth of the CNC process within Persico to the
point were 2008 saw 65% of their production consisting
of machined molds. Based on this success, primarily
with European customers, they decided to expand their
market by more actively promoting this capability
in the USA where the demand for CNC tooling and quick
turnaround is critical. In order to facilitate superior
customer service Persico will locate a new sales manager
in Ohio to allow for increased availability to the
customers and enhanced customer support. Mr Sergio
Zilioli began his career at Persico in 1997 as a toolmaker
in the Automotive Division, after about 2 years he
was assigned the task of sales assistant for Italy,
in 2001 he joined the Rotational Division as foreign
sales manager, responsible for North and East Europe
areas, Germany and the rest of the world. His new
assignment, beginning in January 2009, will be to
expand the customer base within the United States
based on Persico's ability to deliver high quality
molds rapidly. "We have already delivered CNC
molds that are exceeding the expectations of some
forward looking molders in America. Given this early
success in the US and the results obtained in Europe
over the past few years we are confident that the
entire U.S. rotomolding community can benefit from
our experience with this new technology. ....

We
are pleased to invite you at Ecomondo Exhibition
2009 (Rimini-Italy 28-31 October)
Persico Spa will be at hall B1 – stand 164
for presenting innovations and developments: PIM
- A New Rotational Technology
Powder
Impression Molding (PIM) Technology is based on the
use of thermoplastic that came from of the re-using
of grilled mixed plastic waste or virgin polymers.
That polymers are directly poured in the open moulds
warmed and cooled with a specific technique. This
technology is very interesting for many application
because there is the possibility to add fillers, support
elements or to use different materials in a demi-mould
or in the other. This technology is patented from
EPT plc that has an exclusive agreement with Persico
spa for the development and the industrialization
of the process. The equipment used in the processing
operation is designed and supplied following a modular
conception that allows achieving maximum flexibility
and productive efficiency. This is only one of the
examples of Persico’s ongoing commitment in
the search for new technologies to be developed together
with the customer, to confront a market that is evolving
incessantly.
For Persico Rotational division we mention several
projects for equipments and moulds with the patented
technology "Leonardo" realized in Europe,
Australia and USA, various developments as the joined
Patent Total-Persico to produce fuel tanks with low
permeability. The Leonardo technology also realizes
multi-layers products with uniform thickness and without
the intervention of some operator. The precise control
of the inside mould temperature and of the cycle time
that Leonardo furnishes, allow us to perform other
materials besides the classical polyethylene like
PA6, ABS, PP, PU and PC. >>>
