Persico
Research & Development department,
as the other divisions, is planted in Nembro
town (Bergamo province), it is born in the
second half of 2007 with the intent to promote
the study of technological innovations to
improve existing products, to create new ones
and to upgrade production processes.
Persico looks forward and tends to long term
activities; its main objective is to obtain,
through dialogue with current or potential
clients and thanks to its know-how, a product
ad hoc.
With the support of rotational moulding machines
(both Leonardo
and traditional) and of automatic
lines (ovens, presses,
foaming plants, cutting and finishing plants)
which are realised and dedicated for this
department, each division is able to follow
the product development since the design until
its finishing in all detail. Thus we can help
the client in making his choices allowing
him to directly handle the prototype of his
future product.
In
this department Persico can also test the
moulds produced by all other divisions and
it can produce the pre-series (from 200
to 1000 pieces) in order to test mould functionality
and to reduce the time for getting the first
samples for fairs or for the final client,
which in turn needs to optimize his production
times.
Further,
Persico is a member of the Intellimech
Consortium, a R&D scientific partner
inside Kilometro Rosso. In this way Persico
collaborates in innovative projects, contributing
with its skills.
Intellimech is a consortium of companies,
promoted by Kilometro
Rosso, Confindustria
Bergamo and Servitec,
aimed at interdisciplinary researches in
mechatronics, including the advanced electronic
design, computer science, ICT systems and
mechanics for applications in various industrial
sectors.
