The Leonardo rotational moulding
automatic system combines the technology gained
with Persico vast experience in the automation
field for automotive industry added with key
elements in moulds rotational production.
Occupied space.
The machine looks like a compact production
cell where all operations heating, cooling,
loading and unloading take place in the
same place. The space necessary for the
operation is definitely low when compared
to a classic carousel machine (about 1 /
4 of the space occupied by the conventional
system).
Operation
The heating and cooling are applied directly
in a strictly limited area on the surface
of the mould, using a special patented system.
This allows the realization of any kind
of external automation, even those that
are usually excluded from rotational moulding
due to the influence of heat that develops
in the heating area (oven).
Automatic opening and closing of
the mould
This avoid any formation of chops and increases
the duration of moulds, eliminating direct
interaction with the operator, the quality
of manufactured goods is therefore constant
over time. The demoulding and re-loading
of the material in the moulds are greatly
simplified and much faster compared to traditional
methods, being completely automated.
Production
The raw material is automatically introduced
into the mould. This offers a number of
advantages and ensures a precise and accurate
distribution inside the mould, as well as
a reduction in the powder dispersion around
the mould.
